The Co:Here Community is a 26 unit apartment building where people work hard to be great neighbours. We share our time with each other through community meals, looking after the gardens, caring for common spaces, and lots of just enjoying life. We desire to have a diverse community that offers affordable housing with supports for people from widely varied backgrounds and the possibility for belonging, friendship, trust and love through the spaces and community life within.

The Space
Much of the building is devoted to common area spaces including:

A strong applicant for Co:Here housing is someone who:

Is in need of housing and fit our eligibility criteria (see below);

Desires to build relationships with others as a result of their own life experience;

Is self-aware. You understand and can articulate your own needs and boundaries, especially as related to supporting others

Participates in the neighbourhood (e.g. you have relationships, paid or volunteer work, attend clubs or groups, participate in local social, cultural, or spiritual organizations etc.)

Eligibility is determined by:

Demonstrated connection (physical or relational) to the neighbourhood in which the building is located.

Communicated interest in living in a community-minded building and the willingness to share in the work and life of the community.

Willingness to disclose financial information to validate current annual income.

Ability to direct their own mental and physical health care with existing formal and/or informal support networks in place outside of Co:Here.
